Should i ask for a amethyst diamond rings?

Purple is my fav color and i think it would be pretty unique if my engagement ring had some amethyst in it... Now the situation, I'm not jus some girlfriend is gonna be like get me this whenever you decide to propose cuz that's just assuming stuff, we already know we are getting engaged, he is a marine and doesnt want to do it until he is lance corporal, I'm a student and I'm pretty sure i wanna wait til i get my associates degree before we get engaged and announce to the world lol he doesn't make much money now and i found out that a diamond ring with amethyst is actually on average less expensive...
do you think its a dumb idea to want something other then a diamond for aengagementnt ring?? will people think he is cheap?? should i tell him this is wat i want??

Be sure your fiance knows that you very much prefer an amethyst center stone with diamonds on the sides. You don't have to tiptoe around the subject. He will be glad to have some guidance so he knows what will make you happiest when that time comes!! : )

really good! though you're inconsistent with his girlfriends name. first its Aries, then it's Arie, then it's Ariess. I'm guessing it's meant to be Arie. If so, it's Arie's smile, not Ariess' smile. Or maybe he had three similarly named girlfriends
